Double score at the library!

I did well this morning. Sometimes, I go to the library and nothing much takes my fancy. Today I got lucky. As well as getting Labyrinth, I found Marc Levy's latest book. I've never read any of his books before but I'm willing to give them a try given that they are so popular (and that I've almost finished all of Guillaume Musso's!). I hope I like them as much...

good on you...I am so slack, it's been months since I read a book in French (what am i talking about, it's been exactly two years).

I did read Levy's first bestseller, what was it called, Si "c'était vrai" ...which was kind of mainstream but readable...

Yes, um, but at least you have a french husband, dont you? That gives you more brownie points ;-). This book seems pretty mainstream too. I keep getting distracted by other things (like old 80s videos on youtube!) but have finished the first couple of chapters - for now it seems a bit like an old Wilbur Smith but in french!

ah ha!! 80s videos on youtube hey?? you mean old music videos, or tv stuff?

Left to my own devices Im terrible with youtube, i haunt the 90s alternative scene and try and re-live my uni years...

Ha, ha! My uni years are best forgotten ;-) (I went out with an asian guy in the late 80s who had THE worst taste in music - we're talking bad late 80s disco/pop). No, I'm going much further back tonight and rediscovering my love for Adam and the Ants circa 1981 before Prince Charming and when they just went all silly. Its amazing how much there is on youtube from the late punk era. All these film clips for b-sides that I've never seen before and haven't heard for 25 years since I ditched the vinyl! Between that and FB and a couple of glasses of red, I can while away a rainy night quite easily!!
