All alone

We've had wonderful start to the summer but are now all alone again having said goodbye to all our guests. Mimi and Michael left yesterday but were luckily here for 14 Juillet (what we call Bastille Day). We ate a yummy raclette meal at home and then sat on the balcony to watch the amazing fireworks display.

Yesterday we tried a pedal'eau for the first time. Under the watchful eye of Captain Lisa we had a great afternoon. It was good to have a sailor on board! Lisa left us today to head back for her next charter in the Caribbean, but not before Jasper had his first go on the horsies (even if he cant actually reach the pedals yet!).

I have never tried the pedal'eau and I have always wanted to when I was a kid!

Must be tough to paddle though...

I always find it so hard to say "good bye" to my visitors. Sounds like you all had a wonderful time together. :)

Enjoy the peace and quiet while you can, it could get very noisy again when we arrive in October. Doesn't sound so far away now does it?

Hi Lily and Jasper,

Thank you so much for my birthday postcard. T looks like you are having a great summer. While not very cold here this winter, we have had a couple of 1 degrees out here in Mount Crosby. Brrr! Mum and I still see your 'Liquid' car regularly on Mt Crosby Rd!

Take care. Love Gussyxxx

Sounds (and looks) like you all had such fun together! I only visited Annecy once, and these photos of the lake and the pedal'eaus make me want to go back -- the sunshiney weather is just gorgeous!

Zhu - they are actually surprisingly easy!

Thanks Emily - hope your holiday is going well :)

It will be here sooner than you realize, Mum :)

Hey Gus - Hope you had a happy birthday. Dont tell David about the car - he still misses it!

The kids like the look of those horsies!
We are hoping to come to Annecy for a day trip soon. We thought it might have been this week, but we've all been unwell with colds. When we get over the colds we will see if we can find a spare day, with fine weather. Would you be able to join us for a picnic somewhere do you think?
Caro.

Late Bloomer - it is gorgeous here when its sunny - and a great place to bring a little one for a holiday in a few years perhaps!

Thanks Milie - we've got more visitors in a month so that's something to look forward to :)

Caro - that would be great! - just let me know when. My email is penny @ liquidsky . net (without the spaces obviously!). Hope to see you all soon :)
