I really must stop reading the Courier Mail

Look at these monstrous towers planned for Brisbane.

Apparently they are to go in Devine's "French Quarter". Yep, looks really french to me. One can only hope that some sort of sanity prevails when they apply for planning approval, but somehow I doubt it...

They look just like some towers that Jo Bjelke Petereson was going to build back in the 80's. Back then, they were going to be the tallest buidings in the world, thank god, they didn't and they aren't but hey? this is Queensland, what else can you expect?
For a much better read and a look at what is really happening in Australia try The Australian on line, it will cost you about $20 per month which is probably what you pay for the CM.

Looks like something you'd expect to see in Dubai!! French quarter in Brisbane, that's interesting!!! I have been to Brisbane but only for 3 days and I didn't see much as I was trying to sort out my passport issue at the time.. back in '85!!

Mum, $20 a month - you must be kidding! Please tell me you don't pay that, with all the free news feeds you can get :). I pay nothing for the Courier Mail - I just read it online. In any event, for me the Courier Mail is like a car crash - you just cant look away!

Leesa - you know your architecture girl! The same architect designed that very famous hotel in Dubai - now that has style - this is nothing!

Milie - yes, so french!

Kate - the people who can afford to live there, probably wont need to work!

:)
