I've just finished...

my first book in french. It was only a Mary Higgins-Clark thriller translated into french but I read the whole thing. It took me about 5 weeks, given that I only get to read at night after the kids are asleep. I love to read but I've set myself a groundrule. I have to alternate between french and english. So having read a french book, I now get to read an english one. The last Harry Potter book is calling my name...

Hello people!
It was lovely seeing the latest photos. Tried to leave a comment a couple of days ago but it was not a happy web site. Ben and Jannet had a 4 kg baby boy called Isaac. Michael, john and Ursula and I climbed up Mt flinders again last night so we are pretty tired after a long day too. Sebastien just called and is at Rainbow beach. Would have been nice to know ahead of time so I could spend more time with them. meeting up at Ricks tommorrow. Pretty cool! Hugs to the smoggins and their parents.

Well, somebody should congratulate Penny for her first French literary achievement. Your nocturnal French practice will take you far!

Well thank you everyone. It really did feel like quite an achievement!

Mimi- have a drink at Ric's for me, and while you're at it, have a $4 breakfast for me at Fat Boy's too!

And DestinationMetz - I know what you mean - the first thing I did when I finished was log onto a nerdy HP website to see what all the faithful had to say about it :)
